A small, long stretch of France, just 80 km long, bordering Burgundy. This land cannot be compared because it is unique. Its landscape is unique, and its grape varieties are unique. These are Trousseau, Poulsard, and Savagnin vines. Grape varieties that only grow in these areas and produce wines that can excite. Domaine de Montbourgeau interprets these vines and their land in the best possible way. Ensuring, year after year, the expression of the vintages, their climate change, and the seasonality that followed. That's why drinking a glass of wine from Domaine de Montbourgeau is like taking a one-way trip directly to the Jura. The Domaine covers 11 hectares in the municipality of Etoile. In this municipality, the main appellation is AOC Etoile, named after the municipality itself. And its protagonist is the Savagnin grape variety. Over time, the estate has also planted Trousseau, Chardonnay, and Poulsard vines and today also produces other appellations such as AOC Cotes du Jura based on Poulsard, AOC Macvin Du Jura, a fortified wine based on Chardonnay with the addition of some Poulsard grapes, and a sparkling wine based on Chardonnay that falls within the AOC Cremant du Jura
