Argentiera Bolgheri Superiore DOC 2022

The 2022 Bolgheri Superiore represents the highest qualitative expression of Argentiera, an iconic wine that rigorously and personally interprets one of Tuscany's most suitable terroirs.

It is made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, coming exclusively from the estate's highest and best-exposed vineyards, located between 200 and 300 meters above sea level. Here, the complex soils rich in skeleton, clay, and limestone, combined with the constant influence of sea breezes, allow for slow and complete ripening, fundamental for achieving structure, finesse, and longevity.

The harvest is manual, with a rigorous selection of the bunches. Fermentation takes place in steel and concrete, followed by a long aging in French oak barriques, partly new, which guides the wine towards a perfect integration of fruit, structure, and aromatic complexity.

The olfactory profile is deep and layered, with notes of ripe black fruits, cassis, blackberry, and plum, followed by hints of graphite, fine spices, tobacco, cocoa, and Mediterranean scrub. On the palate, it stands out for controlled power, silky tannins, and great precision, supported by a freshness that provides momentum and a long, refined persistence.
