Avezza Barbera Nizza DOCG 2016

Avezza winery's 2016 Barbera Nizza DOCG is born in the hills of Nizza Monferrato, an area historically dedicated to the production of the finest and most elegant Barbera. The grapes come from selected vineyards and mature for a long time in wood, to offer a wine that combines intensity, structure, and refinement.

In the glass, it presents a deep ruby red color, with garnet reflections that reveal its evolution.

The nose offers intense and complex aromas of brandied cherry, ripe plum, and blackberry, intertwined with spicy notes, toasted hints, licorice, and balsamic nuances.

On the palate, it is full and enveloping, with velvety and well-integrated tannins, supported by a freshness that gives balance and impetus to the sip. The finish is long, persistent, and harmonious, with echoes of ripe fruit and fine spices.

A Barbera of great personality and longevity, ideal with braised meats, roasts, game, and aged cheeses, also perfect as a meditation wine to appreciate its depth and complexity.
