Barberani Orvieto Passito Calcaia DOC 2016

The 2016 "Calcaia" Passito from the Barberani winery is one of Orvieto's most famous and refined expressions. It is made from botrytized grapes, hand-picked in the vineyards of the Barberani family, who for generations have represented one of Umbria's most prestigious and innovative wineries. The presence of "noble rot" (Botrytis cinerea) enriches the wine with complexity and charm, transforming it into a rare and precious nectar.

In the glass, it presents an intense golden color, bright and luminous.

On the nose, it offers a broad and enveloping bouquet, with notes of dried apricot, honey, candied citrus, ripe tropical fruit, and sweet spices, enriched by floral and balsamic nuances.
