Château de Pez is one of the oldest estates in Médoc, with origins dating back to the 15th century. Located in the heart of Saint-Estèphe, it has always been a benchmark for the appellation, thanks to the quality of its vineyards and the continuity of its history. Today, it belongs to the Rouzaud family, owners of Louis Roederer, who have consolidated its prestige by combining tradition and modernity.
The 2018 vintage has a deep, brilliant ruby red color. The nose reveals an intense and complex bouquet, with notes of blackcurrant, plum, and blackberry, accompanied by elegant hints of sweet spices, tobacco, cocoa, and a slight touch of graphite.
On the palate, it is structured and enveloping, with mature and well-polished tannins that give it body and finesse. The freshness balances the richness of the fruit, while the finish is long, persistent, and mineral, with a typically elegant yet powerful character, in perfect Saint-Estèphe style.
A great Bordeaux that combines tradition and precision, ideal with red meats, game, and aged cheeses, but also capable of evolving magnificently in the cellar for many years.
