PRODUCT FEATURES

The "Petalite" cuvée by Emile Grados is a reference that shines for its originality and purity. The name recalls petalite, a mineral known for its brilliance and transparency, characteristics that are consistently found in this Champagne. Being a Blanc de Noirs Nature, it represents the challenge of vinifying black grapes (Pinot Noir and/or Meunier) without the aid of sugar dosage.

Champagne Emile Grados "Petalite" Blanc de Noirs Nature: Purity and Structure

The "Petalite" Champagne is the boldest and most crystalline expression of Maison Emile Grados. This Blanc de Noirs is born from the selection of the best black grapes from Mutigny, vinified white to extract all their strength and character. The choice of the Nature (Pas Dosé) version is an act of extreme sincerity: without the addition of sugars at the time of dégorgement, the wine reveals itself in its most authentic form, exposing the distinct minerality of the soil and the natural richness of the fruit.

Sensory Profile It presents itself in the glass with a deep golden color and luminous reflections. On the nose, it is intense and multifaceted: notes of small red fruits, white plum, and apricot dominate, enriched by nuances of dried fruit and a touch of mineral fragrance. On the palate, the entry is direct and taut, characterized by a solid and vinous structure typical of black grape varieties. The absence of dosage enhances a vibrant freshness that accompanies the sip towards a dry, clean, and extraordinarily persistent finish.

The Soul of the Terroir The Petalite cuvée is a tribute to artisanal precision. The Grados family works to preserve the integrity of the grape variety, allowing the time in the cellar to smooth the edges of a non-dosé Champagne. The result is a sparkling wine of great balance, capable of combining the muscular power of Pinot with an almost mineral finesse, just like the stone from which it takes its name.

Food Pairings Thanks to its dry and structured nature, Petalite is a connoisseur's Champagne, ideal for the table. It pairs perfectly with oysters and seafood, but it excels with white meat dishes, beef tartare, or mushroom-based preparations. Also excellent with aged hard cheeses.
