I Custodi delle Vigne dell’Etna’s Alnus Rosato 2016 is made from Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio grapes, cultivated using the alberello (bush vine) system at altitudes between 650 and 700 metres, on the northern slopes of Mount Etna. The volcanic soils, rich in minerals and lava ash, and the cool, breezy climate give the wine freshness, elegance, and a unique character.
In the glass, it presents a pale pink colour, streaked with delicate ruby reflections.
The nose reveals a fragrant and delicate bouquet, with notes of wild strawberry, raspberry, and pomegranate, enriched by floral nuances and a subtle mineral vein that recalls the Etna terroir.
On the palate, it is dry and harmonious, with lively acidity and an elegant texture that accompanies each sip. The freshness and volcanic savouriness support a long and persistent finish, with delicate fruity and slightly spicy returns.
An authentic and refined rosé, ideal with cured meats and fresh cheeses, grilled vegetables, fish dishes, and light Mediterranean cuisine, also perfect to enjoy on its own to appreciate its elegance and typicality.
