Girlan Lagrein 2023 DOC is a red wine from South Tyrol made from Lagrein grapes grown on porphyry soils in hillside vineyards. It is vinified in steel tanks and partially aged in used wood. It has a dark ruby red color with violet reflections. The aroma is intense and spicy with notes of plum, blackberry, black pepper, and characteristic earthy notes. On the palate, it is full-bodied and enveloping with good freshness, soft tannins, and a long, savory finish. It is ideal with game, grilled meats, and flavorful dishes. Serve at 16-18 °C.
