PRODUCT FEATURES

The Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Mastro DOC represents the highest expression of Montepulciano cultivated in the Chieti hills, a result of Cantine Maligni's expertise in enhancing native Abruzzese grape varieties. The carefully selected grapes come from south-facing hillside vineyards with calcareous-clay soils that give structure and complexity to the wine.

Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel, followed by a period of aging in selected oak barrels, which enriches the wine with complex aromas and softness on the palate, without masking its freshness and varietal expression.

Montepulciano Mastro has an intense ruby red color with violet reflections. The nose offers notes of ripe red fruits, cherry, plum, and light spices, with balsamic hints. On the palate, it is full-bodied, structured, and harmonious, with elegant tannins and a long, persistent finish.

Perfect for accompanying red meats, roasts, game, aged cheeses, and traditional Abruzzese dishes, a wine of great character and gastronomic versatility.
