The Prenzep Trento DOC Rosé is a traditional method sparkling wine of extraordinary finesse and harmony, combining the structure and character of Pinot Noir with the elegance of Chardonnay. A product of high-altitude viticulture in Trentino, this sparkling wine stands out for its vibrant freshness and a refined aromatic profile reminiscent of small red berries.
Prenzep - Trento DOC Rosé
The Trento DOC Prenzep Rosé is made from grapes cultivated on the hilly and pre-Alpine terrains of Trentino, caressed by the breezes of "Ora del Garda" and subject to significant temperature fluctuations. This ideal microclimate allows Pinot Noir (the main grape in the blend) to develop perfect aromatic maturity and a distinct acidity, while Chardonnay lends finesse and softness to the blend.
The delicate pink color is the result of a short cold maceration of the Pinot Noir skins in contact with the must. Subsequently, the base wine undergoes a second fermentation in the bottle according to the strict regulations of the Trentino Classic Method, resting on its lees for a long period. The result is a fine, crisp, and gastronomic Rosé, capable of combining the creaminess of the foam with a lively and deep drinkability.
Sensory Profile
-
Color: Pale antique pink, brilliant, with coppery reflections. The perlage is fine, minute, and pleasantly persistent.
-
Nose: The nose opens with fragrant notes of fresh small red berries, such as currants, raspberries, and wild strawberries. These are followed by floral nuances of rose petals and a delicate evolution reminiscent of freshly baked brioche and sweet almond.
-
Taste: In the mouth, it is enveloping, fresh, and well-structured. The creamy foam caresses the palate, balanced by a mineral savoriness and a citrusy acidity that gives verticality to the sip. The balance between the softness of the fruit and the freshness is impeccable.
-
Finish: Persistent and clean, with pleasant returns of small red berries and a savory trail on the finish.
Food Pairings Thanks to the structure of Pinot Noir, it is an exceptionally versatile sparkling wine at the table. It is perfect for a refined aperitif, but excels with traditional Trentino cured meats (like speck), tomato-based pasta dishes or with seafood ragu, fish soups, smoked salmon, beef tartare, and steamed crustaceans.
