The Primitivo Passito “11 Filari” 2016 from the San Marzano winery is born in the heart of Salento, from historic Primitivo vines cultivated in alberello (bush vine) style, where the Mediterranean climate and the clay and limestone soils yield grapes of great concentration. Late harvesting and natural drying allow for an intense and seductive wine, combining the power of the grape variety with harmonious sweetness.
In the glass, it presents a deep ruby red color, embellished with garnet hues.
On the nose, it offers a broad and enveloping bouquet of ripe plum, black cherry, and kirsch, enriched by notes of cocoa, vanilla, and sweet spices.
On the palate, it is rich and velvety, with an intense sweetness perfectly balanced by freshness and soft tannins that support the sip. The finish is long and persistent, with elegant hints of dried fruit and chocolate.
A Primitivo Passito of great charm and elegance, ideal with dark chocolate, structured desserts, aged and blue cheeses, also perfect as a meditation wine for moments of pure pleasure.
