Vigneti Massa Monleale 2017 is an excellent Barbera from the Tortona hills (DOC Colli Tortonesi Monleale), traditionally vinified with prolonged maceration on the skins and fermentation with indigenous yeasts; aged for over 22 months in large wooden barrels, without filtration; intense ruby red color with garnet reflections; on the nose, it expresses complex aromas of ripe cherry, blackberry, sweet spices, cocoa, light balsamic notes, and red earth; on the palate, it is rich, enveloping, and harmonious, with silky tannins, good freshness, and elegant persistence, ideal with roasts, game, mushrooms, and aged cheeses.
