Villa Raiano's Ponte dei Santi DOCG 2018 offers an authentic and refined interpretation of Greco di Tufo, originating from the Ponte dei Santi cru in Altavilla Irpina, at an altitude of 550 meters, on sandy soils with clay veins. The winery has opted for careful vinification, with selected yeasts, 12 months of aging on the lees in steel tanks, and a further year of bottle aging, to enhance the character of the terroir.
In the glass, it presents a brilliant, vivid, and full straw-yellow color.
The nose expresses a refined and vibrant bouquet, with hints of hawthorn and acacia flowers, white-fleshed fruit, and notes of Mediterranean herbs, with an intriguing touch of fresh almond and delicate mineral savoriness.
The palate is lively, mineral, and linear, with vibrant acidity supporting fresh yellow fruit, pear, and peach, followed by a slightly saline nuance and a savory, fragrant finish.
A Greco of great charm and tension, capable of conveying the suggestion of its terroir in the bottle. Ideal with fish dishes, shellfish, seasonal vegetables, and fragrant pasta dishes, but also perfect to enjoy on its own, to appreciate its elegance and precision.
